I am Peter Webb’s father. I have no formal role in MarsFarm, but often act as a ‘gopher’ for R&D projects, particularly round Python and data structures. I have been involved developing and testing hydroponic boxes since the early days of the “MV1” prototype, experimenting with sensors and software; primarily using Raspberry Pi’s.
My background has been in database design and data access interfaces. I was a Data Architect at Monsanto before retiring (and before they got sold to Bayer).
There are at least a half-dozen Raspberry Pis running in my work area, and I play around with a surplus 3D printer from MarsFarm. I also do Citizen Science with Friends of Lake Monroe, and restore prairies at All Saints Orthodox Church.
