Red Lettuce Germination Recipe

Hey everyone! Quick question, when starting the red lettuce germination recipe should the first round of irrigation happen immediatley once the recipe is active or is the times for irrigation set? We have gotten everything going and it all has worked great but our pumps have not started any water and I just tried doing it manually with the device control option and nothing.

The default Red Lettuce Germination Recipe provides different amounts of water depending on what day it is within the trial. Irrigation will not happen immediately after creating a trial to ‘catch up’ for what was missed so far that day. If for example a recipe is configured to add 80ML of water at 8 AM and you create the trial at 9 AM, then no water would be provided that day. This isn’t true for temperature/lighting - those stay the way they are set until changed again during the recipe.

For anyone who doesn’t already know, you are able to now manually add water, via the ‘Device Manager’ tab as well.

@jeremy.hall It sounds like you already tried that but didn’t see any response.

So the good news is, by looking at your plants they all appear to successfully be germinating. That means all of your pump tubing is installed correctly.

You can always check whether water has been added by looking at the charts on the ‘Data Analysis’ tab. Simply click the button for ‘Irrigation Pump’ and the chart will show you how much water has been added in that trial so far.

Each color represents a different time when water was added. Each color in the chart represents one of those points in time.

Conclusion

@jeremy.hall I tried to add water to one of your devices myself (#0124) - only 10 ML. Now, after checking the irrigation chart, I do not see any new doses for that trial. This tells me no water was actually added.

All you need to do is reboot these devices. Since you just updated these to the newest version of software (Radish) which included all of these ‘real-time’ features (like the manual irrigation) and your devices are still showing as ‘Strawberry’ I am going to conclude that they just need to be reset. Since I know we just updated these to the newest software (when we chatted via text message) and I’ve never seen this happen before while a unit was online - I’m confident that a reboot will fix it.

That being said, by the looks of the Co2 charts - it’s your Fall break - so enjoy it! They’ll be fine and continue to be watered enough until you get back.
